1.) Read the following powerpoint presentation on design principles.

    • Too much writing
    • Hard to read because of white backdrop

    Second Slide:

    • Bars are too close to eachother
    • Too much to read

    Third Slide:

    • Backdrop makes it hard to read
    • No need for the picture

    “A multimedia system is an information system that combines at least TWO to THREE types of media, such as text, hypertext, audio, images, animations and video”.1.) Provide a description and an example of each type of media listed above.Text- the main body of a written work (as distinct from illustrations or footnotes etc.) One example is a newspaper article.Hypertext- is when you embed a hyperlink into text. eg. Ronaldinho is a great soccer player.

    Audio- In video communications, electrical signals that carry sounds. The term is also used to describe systems concerned with sound with recording. One example is music added to a powerpoint slide.

    Images- a visual representation. eg. pictures added to a powerpoint presentation.

    Animation-the making of moving cartoons. eg. Putting a dancing clown on a powerpoint slide.

    Video- Having to do with the visual presentation of information, usually on a monitor screen. eg. adding a video of Nelson mandella to a presentation on inspiring people of faith.
     
    2.) Outline THREE problems with the design of the following powerpoint slide.

    - There is too much writing

    - The writing is too small

    - Too many dates

    1.) Read the following parables and identify the inspiring quality that Jesus is trying to teach us.

    The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant
    - Mercy is the quality Jesus is trying to teach us in this parable.
    The Parable of the Persistent Widow- Persistence is the quality Jesus is trying to teach us in this parable.
    The Parable of the Rich Young Man

    2.) Provide an example of real life situation or person who has demonstrated any of the qualities you have listed.
    One example of somebody demonstrating the quality of mercy is when a boy forgot to do his homework the teacher gave him a chance to do it by the next day. A time that the quality persistence was shown was when somebody told me that I couldn’t make the Division 1 soccer team, I tried very hard and i ended up making the team.

    1) Evaluate your contribution to the group and your own work ethic?

    My contribution to the group was very poistive. I found a lot of information on the Dreamtime and Aboriginals in general. My work ethic was very good. I did all the work I was set.

    2) What did you find your strengths and weaknesses were?

    My strengths were finding information and putting them into my own words. My weakness was putting it together as an exposition/ preamble

    1) Define the term ‘Beatitude’.

    The beatitudes is the name given to the well-known, definitive and beginning portion of the Sermon on the Mount of the Gospel of Matthew. Some are also recorded in the Gospel of Luke.

    2) Explain the purpose of the Beatitudes.

    They fulfil the promise made to the Jewish people, by pointing beyond earthly happiness of Heaven.

    3) Select ONE beatitude and describe how inspiring people of faith put into practice the teachings of Jesus. Use an example to support your answer.
     

    - Blessed are the poor in spirit, for their’s is the Kingdom of Heaven. Mother Theresa helped the poor.

    1) What part of the expostion are you responsible for?

    I am writing the introduction of the preamble.

    2) What supplementary material are you using to back up your thesis points (your argument)?

    I will use videos, pictures and different text types.eg. Articles to bak up our thesis point.

    1) What do you think this pictrue is about? Discuss

    I think this picture is showing two types of inspiring people. A sporting hero and an inspiring person of faith. These are two different types of inspiring people.

    2) List FIVE personal qualities of Andrew Johns.

    • He was a great football player
    • He has won 3 Dally M medals
    • He won the Golden boot award twice
    • He was the State of Orgin man of the match 4 times
    • He holds the record for most ever points scored by an individual

    3) List FIVE personal qualities of Mother Theresa.

    • Won the Nobel Peace Award in 1979
    • She taught at St Mary’s High School
    • She was awarded the Pope John XXIII Peace Prize
    • She won the Balzan prize
    • She worked with the poor around the world

    4) Discuss what you believe the difference is between inspiring people and inspiring people of faith.

    I Believe the difference is that inspiring people may be people who are inspiring because they are goos at sport or something to do with themselves. Inspiring people of faith are people who may have dedicated their lives to helping others more needy than themselves.

    1) What is an exposition?

    A systematic interpretation or explanation of a specific topic.

    2) What is a thesis point?

     They are points that are located in the introduction that will will be explained in the paragraph.

    3) How is an exposition type structured?

    It has an introduction which introduces your case, a body which explains your case and a conclusion which sums up your case.

    Yes, I am satisfied with the groups so far.

    So far, everybody in the group

    1) Outline the frustrations you have felt over the week.

    So far I have had no frustrations beacuse we as a team have been working very well together.

    2) What has been the cause of these frustrations?

    I have had no frustrations yet.

    3) Why do you think it is necessary to deal with your frustrations? How will you deal with them in your groups?

    I think it is important to deal with your frustrations because if you dont you will not be able to work properly because you are upset. We will deal with frustrations on our groups by speaking to the person who is frustrated and trying to calm him down so we can start to work properly again.

    4) Have you felt the desire to work alone so far?

    No, at the moment I am happy working with my group.
